Students, faculty, staff, parents and caregivers, and community members came together recognize Unity Week, a special celebration that brings all divisions together around discussions, activities, and workshops. Over the past two years, our community has managed to withstand the impact of COVID-19, keeping safety and education at the forefront, and finding meaningful ways to be together. Our community has also joined the national dialogue on racism and justice, and identified ways the 线上博彩平台排名 community can continue to improve, with goals set forth in our Actions for Equity plan. Moving toward a more equitable space requires the energy of all. Leaning into our Quaker testimony of community, the whole school participated in the week's events, which culminated in a special Unity Day on Friday, April 29.

The Early Childhood division spent the week examining the query, "how does food bring us together?" Activities for the week will included a t-shirt tie-dye project, a community book reading, "Smoothie Tuesday," a dance party, and a special visit from Early Childhood Center City friends on Wednesday. The Lower School discussed how music brings us together with a number of activities, including a flash mob, a family padlet of favorite songs, and a fourth-grade play. Middle School students worked on a silhouette art project and attended an assembly with speaker and trainer Pippi Kessler on Wednesday. Upper School students were fully immersed in a day of activities on Friday, beginning with a Meet & Greet with assembly speaker and author Kyle Lukoff, sponsored by the LGBTQ Parents and Friends Association. The day included workshops, games sponsored by the Diversity Ambassadors, Meeting for Worship, snacks, Unity Day swag, and more. Trainer and activist Rodney Glasgow lead the closing keynote.

Speaker and diversity trainer Rosetta Lee also joined us for a Virtual Lunchtime Chat. She discussed a number of topics, with an emphasis on "Creating an Inclusive Community."
